I’ll reserve my bite … and allow others to speak their mind about Vancouver Mayor, Gregor Robertson.

Surrey Mayor, Diane Watts, has shown admirable leadership in her no nonsense approach to running a City. She has once again, shown other politicians in the Vancouver region what real backbone is all about. Mayor Watts called an emergency gathering of metro Vancouver leaders to work towards ending the latest rash of Gang violence that has seen public killings and executions at the rate of one victim every other day… over the past couple of weeks.

It’s a carnage that our sweet little City by the sea hasn’t seen.

So what did Vancouver Mayor Greg Robertson do on this important day?

According to civic affairs blog “City Caucus“:

[...]the Mayor was a no-show at the gang violence meeting this morning because he had to attend a photo op with Quatchi and Sumi at the new Olympic Village. [...]

In fact, there was no official representation from the City of Vancouver.
In contrast, other Mayors and/ or their Councilors from neighbouring metro Vancouver municipalities/ Cities were present to discuss the dire situation.
